I'm working my way up the complex sample (CS) analysis learning curve. I currently have access to SPSS v21 with the CS module. I also have v23, but not with the CS module. I'm considering making that move.
I successfully ran CS crosstabs on a public data set and confirmed the results with that source. I don't see how to graph these results from SPSS. Does SPSS support developing graphs from CS analyses? Thanks for your time. Clinton |
What would these graphs look like? A crosstabs graph might be a bar chart. Would you have a graph for each cluster or sampling unit? I don't know that I have an idea for you but I'm also not sure what you want either.

I was interested in creating bar graphs of the frequency estimates for categories of physical activity, including the standard errors. I can do this in Powerpoint, but thought there might be a way in SPSS. That would be a bit easier and less prone to transcription error.
Thanks. Clinton |
Yes, this can done (easily). Have you looked at the Graph command? Have you looked at the GGraph command, which is pretty complicated in terms of syntax but which has a dropdown menu system for common types of graphs? Graph output can be edited but I don't think that GGraph output can be edited (I have never done it.) Andy is the real graphing (and GGraph expert.) All that said, I don't think that either of these commands connect to a complex samples analysis, which I assume to mean a sampling design other than 'conveniance' or simple random sampling.
