Dear experts,
I have data that include Likert ratings for survey questions (Q1 to Q52), and descriptors of respondents (e.g., demographics: D1 to D6) organized as levels 1 to 5. Could someone please suggest a syntax for SPSS 14 that would produce the following 2 bar graphs: (1) clusters of bars showing question means by descriptor levels, several clusters on one graph: e.g. I want to see a cluster of 5 bars representing Q1 mean for each of the 5 levels of Age, then on the same graph, a cluster of 5 bars representing Q2 mean for each of the 5 levels of Age, etc. (2) bars showing a comparison between each question mean in this dataset and a known population mean on this question. This would look like bars in clusters of 2; the first cluster is Q1 mean bar and Q1 population mean bar, the 2nd cluster is Q2 mean bar and Q2 population mean bar, etc. I can make this in Excel but SPSS syntax would be so much faster--but somehow I cannot get this right. Thanks for any suggestions. Hello experts,
I'm requesting a piece of advice on graph syntax from this listserv. I posted the request a few days ago but did not hear back, so I'm asking this question again--any help is very much appreciated. (It's probably a simple question but I'm not too strong with graphs.) Thank you, Katerine -----Original Message----- From: Osatuke, Katerine, VHACIN Sent: Thursday, September 21, 2006 3:22 PM To: 'SPSSX(r) Discussion' Subject: Help requested with bar graphs Dear experts, I have data that include Likert ratings for survey questions (Q1 to Q52), and descriptors of respondents (e.g., demographics: D1 to D6) organized as levels 1 to 5.
