Help with Canonical Correlation

D. Nick White
When attempting to run the SPSS Canonical Correlation macro in SPSS 16, we get the following output. Help!!!

include file 'H:\Dissertation\Canonical correlation.sps'.
3081  0  preserve.
3083  0  set printback=off.
3734  0  RESTORE.
3735  0
3737  0  * End of INSERT and INCLUDE nesting level 01.
CANCORR set1=CEA3 CPA3 CSA3 AEA3 APA3 ASA3 /
set2=AA D AI IE DA DIS ISR TRB /.
NOTE: ALL OUTPUT INCLUDING ERROR MESSAGES HAVE BEEN TEMPORARILY
SUPPRESSED. IF YOU EXPERIENCE UNUSUAL BEHAVIOR THEN RERUN THIS
MACRO WITH AN ADDITIONAL ARGUMENT /DEBUG='Y'.
BEFORE DOING THIS YOU SHOULD RESTORE YOUR DATA FILE.
THIS WILL FACILITATE FURTHER DIAGNOSTICS OF ANY PROBLEMS

>Error # 14324
>MATRIX cannot do split-file processing in interactive mode.  Run the job in
>batch mode or process each split-file group separately.
>This command not executed.
Run MATRIX procedure:
>Error encountered in source line #  3759

Re: Help with Canonical Correlation

SPSS Support
Nick,

The error appears to be due to the data file having a SPLIT FILE in effect. I believe you'll need to run the macro separately on each subset of the data rather than submitting all splits at the same time.
