You can download, burn and use a Linux Live CD to run Linux from a cd, and run Clam AV from it:
http://syntheticlibrarian.com/2005/09/22/using-knoppix-and-clam-anti-virus-to-scan-infected-pcs Nothing will be installed on your computer. Not sure if this is also possible with Linux Ubuntu (Clam AV is not preinstalled). It's worth checking out though. There are no viruses for Linux and it looks very cool.
