Hosmer-Lemeshow Goodness of Fit statistic

msherman

Dear List, I am conducting a multinominal logistic regression analysis and have been requested by reviewers to include the Hosmer-Lemeshow Goodness of Fit  statistic. I have read that it can be included by going into the options tab under multinominal logistic regression within SPSS. However, when I search for this statistic I do not find it in the Options Tab. Is there a syntax command that I can add in order to get this statistic. Thanks,   martin

The Hosmer-Lemeshow statistic is only available in the binary logistic regression procedure, because the test was designed for binary responses.  There may now be generalizations of HL to multinomial response, but they are not currently implemented in SPSS Statistics.
