How to add rows is SPSS?

Manny Estrada
Hello to all:

I have a NHANES Physical Activity Monitor file; where information for each
participant consist of several rows:

SEQN     PAXINTENSITY

2005       80

2005       291

2005       41

2005       0

2006       0

2006       15
2006       41
2006       250

Is a huge 2GB file, and I only need the summation of a column (PAXINTENSITY)
for each participant. How can I accomplish it using SPSS 14.

Please help.

Thanks

Is this too simple?
AGGREGATE / OUTFILE = *
          / BREAK = participant_id
          / sum_pax = SUM (paxintensity).

But are you sure you don't want more break variables?

Did you know that 87.166253% of all statistics claim a precision of results that is not justified by the method employed? [HELMUT RICHTER]
