How to compute factor score differences between groups

Dear Group,

I am analyzing variables that might explain students’ willingness to become self-employed. Here, I am looking at differences between developing and developed countries
Data set consists of the following variables
- 2 Factors (PCA): F1: ‚Motive: Challenge‘; F2:‚Motive ‚Creativity‘
- Country (dichotomous): developed (1), developing (2)
- Starting own business (dichotomous): Yes (1); No (2)

My hypothesis:
In developing countries the difference of factor scores ‘Challenge’ and ‘Creativity’ (F1 minus F2) between those who would like to run a startup and those who will not is smaller compared to the differences of these groups in developed countries.
 
Hope I was able to explain my problem. Could you please recommend a SPSS procedure that would be useful here?

Start with a 2 x 2 contingency table: File >> New >> Syntax, then type in (don't forget the full stop!) and press the green triangle.

CROSSTABS Country BY Starting own business /cells count rowpct.

 

then think about what statistics are appropriate.

It looks like a 2x2x2 (Country x Business x Factor) mixed design ANOVA, with repeated measures on Factor.  

Re your hypothesis, the overall F1-F2 difference is addressed by the main effect of Factor.  Whether the F1-F2 difference depends on Business is addressed by the Business x Factor interaction.  And whether the nature of that 2-way (Business x Factor) interaction depends on *Country* is addressed by the 3-way interaction.  

Re Country, do you have an actual list of countries, or just whether each person's country is developed or developing?  If the former, you could use MIXED, which would allow you to treat (actual) country as a level 2 variable.
