Hello,
the new command CODEBOOK reports dictionary information and supports the OMS-facility, which routes the results in a SPSS-file. But I don't see the user defined codes for missing values, neither in the listing nor in the SPSS-file. I tried: CODEBOOK /VARINFO missing /statistics none. and CODEBOOK /statistics none. What is wrong? Do I make a mistake? Is it bug? Is the description of CODEBOOK wrong? Many thanks for an answer? It looks like no table is generated
if you suppress all statistics AND there are no defined value labels for
any of the the values included in the table. So you could either
define value labels for your user-missing values or include at least one
summary statistic (e.g., count). The latter is probably the simpler solution.
If all you want is a list of user defined-missing values for a dataset in which there are no value labels associated with those missing values, you might want to consider DISPLAY DICTIONARY.

Hallo Rick, you are right. User-defined missing values are shown only with count (or percent). Thank you for the hint. The option 'missing' has no effect, stupid. The DISPLAY-Command shows the expected information, but does not support OMS (an other consistency in SPSS). I need the meta-information in a SAS- or SPSS-file. I hope you have a nice sunny day as I here in Germany. Why do you think DISPLAY does not support OMS? It certainly does. Perhaps you are using the wrong command identifier. The command identifier for DISPLAY DICT is 'File Information' HTH, Jon Peck SPSS, an IBM Company [hidden email] 312-651-3435
