How to remove the influence of gender difference from ANOVA

Hi, all.

I'm coming cross a tricky prob with ANOVA.

 Basically I have three groups of participants with two groups having equal number of each gender but the left one group does not(group C, mainly female)

Now I'm using ANOVA to analyse the difference in performance of the three groups. But apparently the gender difference have the same influence to the group C as well.

How can I compare the groups with removing or adding the influence of gender?
