How to select cases with missing data for the variable of interest?

Justin Meyer-3
Hi SPSS list,

I would like to select cases where the value for a numeric variable is
999, where 999 indicates missing data. If I try
LessonCompletedatTesting=999 in the Select Cases GUI, no cases are
selected. How can I select cases having missing data for the variable of
interest?

Thanks,

MISSING(LessonCompletedatTesting).

(Careful not to delete the rest if you don't intend to do that!)
