IBM SPSS Statistics Connection with DB2

Majid Khan
I am trying to connect IBM SPSS Statistics 22 with DB2 but each time got an error "SQLDriverConnect failed :[IBM][CLI Driver] SQL1042C  An unexpected system error occurred.  SQLSTATE=58004". The Data Source connection (DB2 ODBC ) that I created is working fine. I tested it with IBM SPSS Modeler and it connect perfectly.
Looking forward for your response. Thanks

Any ideas?

Hi rtdammann,

In order to get this working we had to do the following Per IBM support:

Copy the "C" and "N" folder from STATS_ROOT_FOLDER\gskit to STATS_ROOT_FOLDER to see whether it resolves the issue.

For example: from C:\Program Files\IBM\SPSS\Statistics\22\gskit to C:\Program Files\IBM\SPSS\Statistics\22.

Also confirmed to work on SPSS 21.

Keep in mind we are using the 64-bit DB2 CLI driver v9.7.9 and SPSS 64-bit.

Hope this helps!!!!

Woohoo!
