I called my sales rep and he got back to me pretty quickly (within an hour).
I got a code emailed so I'm set. Seems there is a certain number of installations one can do. However my machine seems to be getting boned by M$ windows 8 upgrades and requiring a reset. Subsequently requiring a reinstall of SW... ad infinitim............ OTOH: The online support portal totally sucks, so this is in NO way any retraction of my posting!!!!

A-Greed. Instructions for building the Hadron Collider were more straightforward. The directions, separate screens, etc. need to be reviewed and simplified. I followed all the directions and at the end was told to get the authorization number. So I wrote documentation for myself for the future, and #1 is Get the Authorization Number.

It gets even worse if there is no direct connection to the internet (company policy). One needs to mess with hardware fingerprints and such. Btw, have you seen the typo that the BBC made? http://metro.co.uk/2015/04/06/that-awkward-moment-the-bbc-calls-large-hadron-collider-hardon-collider-5136981/ The directions, separate screens, etc. need to be reviewed and > simplified.
