I am working through Applied Longitudinal Data Analysis: ing Change and
Event Occurrence by Judith D. Singer and John B. Willett with the help of
the data sets and syntax provided at
http://www.ats.ucla.edu/stat/spss/examples/alda/chapter4/aldaspssch4.htmI have run into a problem and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.
Using the data file provided at the website (alcohol1_pp.sav), I can run the
following syntax successfully when I limit the data file to 5 cases, 10
cases, and 15 cases. However, when I run the syntax with 20 or more cases,
the SPSS output application "hangs" and I need to close (ctrl + alt + delete).
Oh, I am running Graduate student version 14.0.2, and I have installed the
hotfix that is listed on the spss website for something involving Igraph (I
am not sure if this is the same issue or not though.)I have also recently
upgraded my RAM (system specs below).
Any suggestions most appreciated and thanks in advanced.
