Importing variable labels

Genevieve Odoom

Does anyone know whether it is possible to import variable labels created in an excel document into SPSS?

Yes. I suppose the variables names and variable labels are on separate
colums (lets say a1:a400 and b1:b400). Now create a calculated new
column (c1:c400) with the text "var lab (a) '(b)'."
Copy and paste the new column to spss and run it.
That's all.
