Insufficient memory to process the command

Florio Arguillas
Dear friends,

When running crosstabs inside OMS, I encountered this error:

"Insufficient memory to process the command. Break up the request or rerun
with more memory. This command not executed.
Execution of this command stops."

My questions are:

1.  What is the default memory allocation in SPSS?
2.  How do I increase such memory?  Note, that with our system, I can
allocate up 125 Gigabytes of memory, just don't know how to allocate that
much memory for the SPSS job.  What would be the command, say to allocate
120 Gigabytes of memory for the job?

TIA.

Florio

Re: Insufficient memory to process the command

Has anybody got a solution to the issue raised in January by Florio? I have encountered the same error while running a relatively simple TABLES command - something that I could easily simulate on the same machine with CTABLES. Is the TABLES procedure less "efficient" than CTABLES?

Cheers,
Luca
