Ironside is currently seeking a Director for its growing Customer Analytics consulting practice.

The Customer Analytics Practice Director is focused on growing and delivering data science services and solutions to customer-centric industries and organizations. The Customer Analytics Practice Director is a senior leadership position in a pivotal growth area for Ironside. Our Customer Analytics practice collaborates closely with our other Enterprise Data & Analytics Advisory, Enterprise Information Management and Business Intelligence teams to build high value enterprise solutions that set our clients apart as leaders in their industries.

Candidates located in Northeastern U.S (Ironside's HQ just outside of Boston, MA) or are interested in relocation can expect 25-50% travel.  Candidates can also be located anywhere in the U.S. with an expectation up to 75% travel.

 

Your Contributions:

Delivery

  • Ensures the successful delivery of Customer Analytics solutions
  • Define strategy, principles, vision and standards for Customer Analytics solutions
  • Work with client stakeholders, management and business partners to get buy-in and propagate thought leadership
  • Provide advisory services around Customer & Marketing Analytics
  • Build and deliver comprehensive Customer Analytics strategy roadmaps
  • Defines engagement success criteria with customers, tracks and monitors progress during an engagement and ensures that they are met
  • Serves as point of escalation for both customer and internal team members addressing both business and technical issues
  • Review of final deliverables to ensure they are of the highest quality promoting client satisfaction
  • Mentor and provide delivery expertise to less experienced team members
  • Uphold and contribute to Ironside processes and standards
  • Establish and maintain standard tools and methodology for practice area

Business Development

  • Lead the support of business development activities for the given practice area
  • Facilitate pre-sales discussions with the client
  • Produce and present during formal sales presentations
  • Participate during negotiations and finalizing the engagement plans
  • Develop and provide quality review of Proposals and Statements of Work
  • Sales enablement and sales education for account executives and senior delivery resources
  • Create key sales support collateral / sales decks
  • Ensure account expansion; contribute to on-going business development of key/strategic accounts

Marketing

  • Participate in Practice’s overall go-to-market strategy
  • Identify and deliver emerging Customer Analytics solutions in key industries
  • Responsible for the development of the go-to-market strategy with corporate marketing for the Customer Analytics practice area, definition of the service offerings and development of marketing collateral within specific practice area
  • Participate in external activities to drive market awareness of Ironside’s capabilities within the Customer Analytics practice area and help establish Ironside as thought leaders in the solution space

Team Development

  • Responsible for the development of competency requirements and a career development framework for specific practice area
  • Participate in high-level resource management decisions to provide guidance on the skills required and potential resource considerations
  • Participate in recruiting efforts to build critical mass of skilled resources
  • Serve as career coach for colleagues in the Customer Analytics practice
  • Coordinate with other career coaches as needed to ensure appropriate development of colleagues in practice area

Leadership

  • Participate in the overall leadership of the practice
  • Support the goals of the practice and Ironside overall
  • Participate in collaborative practice strategy / planning
  • Lead the implementation of key aspects of the practice’s plans
  • Participate as an active member on internal Ironside initiatives

 

Your Proven Track Record:

  • Deep industry subject matter expertise with a strong understanding of use cases and successful solutions combined with your proven track record in at least one of the following sectors:
    • Communications,  Media & Entertainment (CME)
    • Insurance, Financial Services or Banking
    • Retail, Wholesale, or Consumer Goods & Services
  • Deep understanding of common marketing processes and systems and a strong empathy and understanding for the common challenges and objectives of the modern, digital CMO.
  • Experience developing, leading and/or managing a growing team of practitioners or consultants in data mining, data science or predictive analytics domains
  • 7+ Years designing and building leading edge data mining, statistical and/or predictive modeling applications such as churn, clustering & segmentation, market basket analysis, next best offer, real time scoring and segmentation engines, and others.
  • Extensive hands-on practitioners experience with statistical and data mining software packages (SAS, SPSS, R, Python, Matlab) and a knowledge of a variety of statistical modeling algorithms and their situational applications.
  • Experience with related Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing concepts and exposure to popular software technology such as Cognos, Microstrategy, Tableau, Qliktech or similar.
  • Exposure to big data scale, Hadoop and NoSQL platforms a plus.
  • Ability to bring clarity to ambiguous situations and explain abstract or conceptual statistical concepts to all levels of stakeholders.
  • Experience driving strategy at a high level within customer organizations.
  • Understand and articulate business drivers and impacts.
  • Ability to grasp problems at hand and recognize appropriate approach, tools and technologies to solve those problems.
  • Ability to be objective in evaluating technical solutions.
  • A proven process-driven mindset.
  • BS, MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or Finance
