Is SPSS devoid of colour ?

I would like to -
1-Colour code data columns in the data editor
2-Colour code syntax.
Syntax can be coloured in external text editors but when pasted into SPSS Syntax Editor all colour & fonts are removed.

Is there a way around this ? Any suggestions ?
