Issue with Sentinel LM License Manager

Jose Manuel Castillo
Hi all!

I don't know if this is the correct place to ask this question, so I
apologize in advance for any inconveniences.

We have installed Sentinel License Manager and it works OK: SPSS works
fine with the network license, including reservations & commuter licenses.

Our installation of Sentinel LM runs on Debian 4.0 Linux.

This is the output when we start it manually (I have change the actual
name of the machine):

sentinel@host:~$ /opt/sentinellm/lserv

Sentinel LM 7.3.0.3 License Management Server
Copyright (C) 2004 Rainbow Technologies, Inc.

Initializing.  Please wait ...
Running on host host.hostdomain

Now, the problem is that we don't know how to prevent that somebody,
using WLMADMIN, add or remove features from our license server, change
the log file name, etc.

If someone just do that, restarting the server gets all over to the
original situtation (features, log file names, etc), but it has to have
a way to prevent this - but we just can't figure it out.

Any help will be very appreciated!! Thanks!

Regards,
