assuming that you have
rows of dichotomous (2-valued, "binary", bitmap) data.
PROXIMITIES has the Jaccard coefficient to show the similarity/distance
for every pair of rows.
open spss.
click <help>
type "proximities measures" in the edit box.
click <go>
SPSS has a few dozen similarity/proximity/distance measures
Note the two lines for "binary measures" and "more binary
measures".
