Kaplan Meier Curve

George. J. Pappas
Hello everyone.

Is it possible with spss to generate kaplan meier plots together with their confidence interval?

I tried the options in the graph, but could not find a solution.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

Apostolis

Hi George.  The Command Syntax Reference manual (aka., the FM) shows no
obvious way to get those CIs using either the KM or GGRAPH commands.  Are
you aware of other software that can plot them?  If so, perhaps the
documentation will help someone work out how to do it with SPSS.

But as Jon Peck noted in an e-mail to me, KM can save the SE of the survival
function to the working dataset.  So maybe you can do something with that.

From the FM
(https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSLVMB_26.0.0/statistics_reference_project_ddita/spss/advanced/syn_km_save.html):

SAVE saves the temporary variables created by KM. The following temporary
variables can be saved:

SURVIVAL. Survival function evaluated at current case.

SE. Standard error of the survival function.

HAZARD. Cumulative hazard function evaluated at current case.

CUMEVENT. Cumulative number of events.
