Hi,
Is it possible to use the LIST command to display the variable labels rather than the variable values? Thanks in advance for your help. Use the SUMMARIZE command and you'll get your case listing nicely formatted
in a pivot table. If you have defined value labels for categorical variables they will also be listed using the value labels provided that the defaults for variable and value labels are in force in the Edit>Options dialog. -----Original Message----- From: SPSSX(r) Discussion [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of J Sutar Sent: Thursday, June 26, 2008 10:02 AM To: [hidden email] Subject: LIST command Hi, Is it possible to use the LIST command to display the variable labels rather than the variable values? I saw ViAnn's reply to use SUMMARIZE, but I wonder if you are looking for DISPLAY LABELS?

SUMMARIZE was exactly what I was looking for. With the subcommands as
shown below I get exactly what I was after. How do I remove the case processing summary via syntax subcommand? SUMMARIZE q1 q2 q3 /CELLS NONE /FORMAT list. Look at the OMS command. One of the features it offers is the ability to suppress the display of specific tables in the Viewer.
