Linear Mixed Model regression controlling for clustering

Graham Reid
I am trying to run a blocked hierarchical regression but need to control
for clustering of siblings within families.

Parent-rated child psychopathology is the outcome and predictors are
parent-rated family income, maternal depression, (etc.) and other child
problems.

About 1/3 of the sample consists of siblings. I’m not interested in a
multi-level model but just need to control for the nested data.

I think Linear Mixed Model should do it but am struggling to make it work.

Any help is appreciated.
