LinkedIn (How to get rid of)

John F Hall

Apologies to anyone who received invitations to or acceptances from me for LinkedIn.  I can email the people In know and don’t need LinkedIn.  I’ve tried to unsubscribe, but to no avail.  Short of adding *.linkedin to my blocked senders list, is there any other way of ridding myself of this worm/virus/address-trawler?

How about ClampedIn or LockedIn?  I’ve just blocked anything from [hidden email].  Apologies to anyone who tries in future, but who is going to stop them?

That’s why it’s called “LINKED IN”.

I am reminded of the joke about the man who goes to an all-you-can-eat restaurant and finds to his horror that once people feel sated, they are force fed….

This is straight out of Kafka.  Would you believe I have just been invited to accept myself?  I’ve now blocked [hidden email] but will I later find that I have accepted/ignored it?

John, I'll have to confirm this with some colleagues who are clinical psychologists, but self-acceptance sounds like a good thing to me.  ;-)

At least LinkedIn carries a photo of you!  Should have snipped it for my
site for a new page, SPSS gurus.
