Maybe just as well they didn't. Yes, if you simply wrapped this code
in a macro, you wouldn't be stuck with the variable names the authors
chose; on the other hand, you can write amazingly obscure code with SAS macros.
Anyway, Cecilie, are you OK converting this to SPSS, or is it worth
somebody working on it?
