The Neag School of Education at the University of
Connecticut invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the
Measurement, Evaluation, and Assessment Program at the rank of Assistant or
Associate Professor. The successful candidate will take a leadership role in
securing external funding for research in measurement, evaluation, and
assessment-related areas that support the mission of the Neag School of
Education. In addition, the faculty member will be expected to provide
support for researchers across the school in obtaining external funding.
Responsibilities of the position also include teaching introductory/advanced
courses in educational research methodology, program evaluation, or assessment,
along with supervision of graduate student research. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Education or
relevant area by time of appointment; a background in educational measurement,
assessment, or evaluation; a research agenda focused around quantitative
research methodology, assessment or evaluation issues; and a record of
publication in areas relevant to the position. Equivalent foreign degrees
are acceptable. Preferred Qualifications: A record of
successful grant activity, especially at the PI or co-PI level; an interest or
experience in education policy analysis; and the ability to contribute through
research, teaching, and/or public engagement to the diversity and excellence of
the learning experience, or apply understanding of issues such as diversity and
multiculturalism to scholarship. Appointment Terms This is a nine-month, tenure-track position. Rank
and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. The
successful candidate's primary academic appointment will be at the Storrs
campus with the possibility of work at UConn's regional campuses across the
