MODIFY TABLES export problem

Mario Giesel
Following problem arose:
I can delete a column in a viewer table via SPSSINC MODIFY TABLES but as soon as I export that table to Excel (copy paste or OMS) the column reappears.
Is this a known issue and how can it be bypassed?

Thanks for help,
  Mario

There was a known defect on this that was later fixed.  I don't know when it was fixed, but Technical Support could find that information and would know whether there was also a hot fix for it.  OMS, however, is a different matter.  OMS captures tables before they are written to the Viewer and edited, so those would never be affected by hiding and any other edits in the Viewer.  However, exporting from the Viewer or using copy/paste should reflect the current state of the table in the Viewer.  You might try using OUTPUT EXPORT to see whether it has the same problem as clipboard operations.
