Median follow-up time and 'reverse' Kaplan-Meier method

Mustafa Kilickap
I have some questions about how to calculate median follow-up time.

1) Some of the authors recommend using the “reverse Kaplan-Meier method” in
which a reverse coding for censored variable (i.e. 1) is used. I obtained
the output after this coding, but unfortunately I don’t know the next step.
How can I obtain the median follow-up value from this curve or output, and
if the value can be obtained from the x axis how can I determine the exact
day (Because the graph gives the intervals)?

2) When I try this analysis just for educational purposes, I sometimes
cannot obtain the survival plot, and output gives the message of “Warning #
20088: No plot can be drawn since there is only one valid survival function
value per group”. This message was seen although there are some censored
(coded as 1) cases.
Does it imply that reverse KM method is not always suitable method for
obtaining median follow-up? If it is, which method(s) do you recommend?

I greatly appreciate your help and recommendations.
