Hi,
It might be worth to visit this web-page: http://www.spsstools.net/SampleSyntax.htm#MetaAnalysis Best, Anton > -----Original Message----- > From: SPSSX(r) Discussion [mailto:[hidden email]] > On Behalf Of Sosipatros Boikos > Sent: Monday, June 18, 2007 4:33 PM > To: [hidden email] > Subject: Meta-analysis > > Hi. Hi,
you can use the macros written by Wilson (Lipsey, M.W., & Wilson, D. B. (2000). Practical Meta-Analysis.). You can find them under http://mason.gmu.edu/~dwilsonb/ma.html. Also, you can visit Raynold Levesques great Web-Page, http://www.spsstools.net/SampleSyntax.htm#MetaAnalysis. I would recommend the tools by Wilson. You can find them at SPSS Developer Central: http://www.spss.com/devcentral/index.cfm?pg=downloadDet&dId=35 (if requested to login, use Guest both as user and password). They are a more advanced version of the code other list users recommended you (http://www.spsstools.net/SampleSyntax.htm#MetaAnalysis). Some example datasets are included and extensive checks have been run to verify their accuracy. A reference for one of the best meta-analysis book I've read is also given with the documentation. Use this list to ask me any question concerning their use (or the e-mail address I'm using right now) because I'm experiencing problems with the contact email given at the page ([hidden email] is out of order for the moment). I hope you like them. If you publish anything using them, please give me some credit ;) > Is it any website online with quidlines for meta-analysis? > A good meta-analysis site (including a nice freeware program and an online book): http://www.edres.org/meta/ Best regards, Dr. Marta Garcia-Granero, PhD |

Hi,
The SPSS add-on Zumastat www.zumastat.com can perform meta-analyses on a range of different effect sizes.
