Missing information

Jennifer Jones
Hello,

I'm a low level user so please use layman's terms when you respond.

Normally I use SPSS V13, however, my hard drive crashed this morning and the
new tower has V14 on it. No files are saved to the computers themselves, all
files are saved and stored on a shared server. My problem is this, when I
try to open my SPSS files in V14 they are literally cut in half horizontally
with the bottom half of the data missing. For example, a list of names that
ran from A-Z now cuts off at the end of the H's. When I pull it up in V13 it
still works fine. I go through the same hoops to get to where the file is
stored in both versions and on every computer so why is the information
showing up in V13 and not in V14?

Re: Missing information

Kylie Lange
Hi Jennifer,

There is a similar issue logged on the SPSS technical support website.
It says that the 14.0.2 patch will fix the problem. You can download the
patch by logging in to http://support.spss.com (use the username and
password of 'guest' if you don't already have an account), then going to
SPSS > Patches from the left side menu.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Kylie.
