More than one Files open

Hi guys, just wondering can I have more than one data file in SPSS open, and run separate syntaxes on each one at the same time? or could this adversely affect my data file. thx.

Yes. If you are running two independent sessions, however the two sessions
can not talk to each other, if that indeed is what you are after?

To do this you need to open SPSS twice (Start--> All Programs--->ect ect).

So if you open up datasetA in one session and datasetB in another. Under the
'Window' drop down menu in SPSS you should only be able to see only the
dataset you clicked 'Window' drop down menu from. I hope that was clear?
