Multi-level analysis and GEE

Lee Woods
Apologies for my misuse of statistical terms in advance...

I have fitted a GEE model to data I have on subjects over two periods.

The independent variable being car ownership, the dependent variables being socio-economic attributes and attributes of the area in which the subject lives (density, mix etc).

Do I need to consider what the implications are of having subjects from certain study areas (bearing in mind that many subjects changed location and hence study area) is in terms of multi-level analysis?

Any ideas more than welcome as I think I am way out of my depth here..
