Multiple Imputation

haliltokay

Dear SPSSX,

I have performed the multiple imputation technique for filling out my missing values. Now, I have my original data set, PLUS 5 sets of imputed values. How do I produce a data file with only the 'Pooled Variables' to be used for further analysis? There must be some kind of command in SPSS that can be done to resolve this issue?

Thank you in advance

Med venlig hilsen / Kind regards

Re: Multiple Imputation

Dear Halil,

Multiple imputation does not pool results at the data level, only at the analysis level. That is, it estimates the missing values multiple times, the same analysis is then carried out for each imputed data set, and results are then pooled into one final analysis. The imputed values themselves are not pooled.

Best regards,

When I take a MI data set and split it by MI variable (original, MI_1, MI_2, MI_3, MI_4, MI_5) and then run my analysis (say t-test, or MRA) I get the results for each level of the split file along with the results for the pooled data.  mfs
