Nested Analysis

Info @ Statman
I have reading (3 scale variables) for a placement of nutrient into several
disks that is split between light & dark lighting taken during the 1st week
& 4th week + a control. The control only has the light component along with
2 disk categories. A diagram, hope it comes through, looks like this:

dish A1, C4 (scale reading for each)
light <  dish E2, E4 (scale reading for each)
1st week <
dark <   dish A3 (scale reading for each)

dish B3, C1 (scale reading for each)
light <  dish C2, E1 (scale reading for each)
4th week <
dark <   dish A2 (scale reading for each)

Control   -  light <  dish B1, B2, B4, C3 (scale reading for each)

My objective is to do some post hoc analysis of not only the differences in
dish by time (1 v 4 v control) but also taking light v dark into account.
So, dish v time by light/dark.

Is this clear as mud?

Tks
