Newly uploaded (syntax-based) tutorials for Survey Analysis Workshop

John F Hall
Hello all you SPSS-ers

I've just spent the last few days updating and uploading a large tranche of my SPSS 15 tutorials for Survey Analysis Workshop, revised for SPSS/PASW 18 : mostly data capture and tabulation so far, but more complex stuff still to come.   The screenshots in them are from 18, but all the exercises work with 15 as well.  All the files are on my  site, but I still have to find a way of inserting reciprocal hyperlinks between files uploaded in MS-Word *.doc format.

I've left a normally hidden page open http://surveyresearch.weebly.com/guide-to-spss-tutorials.html, with links to all entries for you to inspect, criticise, bemoan etc. (on the Weblog page).

If it's not exactly your cup of tea, please alert your students and trainees anyway.  They might enjoy learning something you don't know.

SPSS-ers

Just finished editing a 10-page  detailed guide for SPSS 18 tutorials which lists, and has links to, dozens of SPSS tutorial files on my http://surveyresearch.weebly.com/ site.   They are gentle, step-by-step with full colour screenshots at each step, use non-mathematical language and are aimed at entry-level social research students and trainees   The guide was initially more for my own use than for publication, but I've published it to the site so I can send the link to the list (which won't accept attachments).  Please feel free to download, copy, criticise etc.
