Two new confidence interval applets with user guides are available on
http://wise.cgu.eduOne demonstrates the 'overlap fallacy' (students and researchers alike
underestimate the amount of overlap for two confidence intervals when a
t-test gives p = .05.)
The second demonstrates how confidence intervals are computed and shows the
variability of confidence intervals as a function of sample size and
population shape, which can be manipulated.
Suggestions for improvements are welcome!
