I no longer have access to research databases to see what tests or research
exist.
If you know of researchers who might have a handle on this kind of topic,
please forward this email to them.
Context: A Congressman said that rank order voting in primaries was too
complicated. In this context, the stimuli are candidate names. I would like
to get a handle on the actual cognitive level involved in rank order voting.
In choice research, examples of stimuli might be games, toys, ice cream
flavors, field trip sites, future occupations, etc.
At what age are children able to rank order stimuli? 3 stimuli, 5 stimuli,
etc.
At what age are children able to pick top 3 of 20 stimuli, top 5 of 20,
etc.?
At what age are children able to name their top 3, 5, of anything?
Is there research on rank order voting for class officer elections?
