OT know of any disciplines that routinely create indices by averaging percentages

I was wondering whether list members knew of any disciplines other than classroom tests that routinely average percentages.

I am particularly interested in instances where the percentages would be on very differnt things,
and an overall score is derived by summing the percentages and dividing by the number of percentages.
