Obsolete subcommand

Matthew Fuller-Tyszkiewicz

Hello all.

I am attempting to obtain bootstrapped estimates of factor loadings for an EFA that I’ve conducted previously. I am working from a syntax file available at:

http://www.coe.tamu.edu/~bthompson/datasets.htm#1

While attempting to run the syntax in SPSS v17, I’ve encountered the following error message: “You have attempted to use a SET subcommand which is obsolete. Text: journal”. From what I can gather, it is due to something in the second to last line (!boot nb=1000) shown below. I want to conduct 1000 re-estimates of the factor loadings. Is this an obsolete subcommand? And, if so, could someone please direct me to the correct subcommand.

Thanks in advance,

Matt.
