The consensus mandate of SPSSX-L is pretty broad: nearly anything dealing with SPSS/PASW, plus questions on statistics, some discussion of other statistical packages, and announcements of events and books of interest to people using statistics or SPSS.

However, though there's no way to poll the membership, I think this posting is outside the scope of what belongs on SPSSX-L, broad as that scope is.
