Off list topic. error bar problem in word line charts

Maguin, Eugene

I’m sure many have more experience on this that I do (none). The problem: putting x-y line charts in a word file and have been requested to show error bars for each of three plotted points. I have edited the charts, looked at help to add error bars and know how to specify a custom length. However, the plotting routine assumes that the custom (SE) value for a point applies to all three points. And it does not (because the plotted points are predicted values.) We have to stay within Microsoft. Has anyone done what I need in word? Please, how? Excel, which I never use, can do plots. Does it have the required level of specificity to do what I need? I don’t think powerpoint can do it, but am I wrong?

Thanks, Gene Maguin

If you can display the plots you need, you can capture a screenshot with MS-Snip then copy into Word, then resize to taste and if needed, wrap text behind and move around on page.
