I'm using SPSS 13.0 on a Windows XP Pro PC, and am sometimes unable to
open a syntax file directly from a CD. I can open the CD files,
directly from the CD, using other applications such as SAS and Textpad.
I can copy the CD file to a hard drive and then open it with SPSS. I've
tried creating the CD using different hardware and software, but get the
same results. The error message is "Failed to open document".
I do not experience the problem with every CD I attempt to access, but
seem to get consistent results (failure or success) depending on the CD.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
