Dear all,
I gave a password protection for my data. And If I need to open it ,that is via File---->Open------> data--------> I can reopen after entering the exact password..................!
But If I directly double click on the pass protected data, as we usually do on non protected data, It doesn't open correctly. I mean if we just double click on the pass protected data, it opens the usual text importing wizard and opens a data set which is not what we wanted. It opens special / junk characters.
So why is this happening and is there any problem in this method. I just want to know what I did was correct or wrong. Thanks all Regards, Rajesh M S

If I double click a protected sav file,
I am prompted for a password, and the file opens correctly.
