Passwords

Hello everyone:

Is it possible to password protect SPSS syntax, data and output files? Thanks.

Re: Passwords

Langston, Eric
I don't believe it's possible as an SPSS function ...

But here are a couple alternatives that should suit you well:
Text Encryption -- http://www.myersdaily.org/joseph/javascript/alphac.html
Paste the text, make up a key, click "Encrypt".

File Encryption -- http://www.truecrypt.org/
This will allow you to encrypt your syntax, data and output files.  Think of it like a password protected zip file (but it doesn't do any compression, just encryption).

Hope that helps,
-Eric
