Perceptual Maps

Libardo López Guzmán
Does any one worked with perceptual maps using SPSS 17.0 with multiple
variables?. I would appreciate if you share your syntax.

TIA,

Lee

Re: Perceptual Maps

Dr. Amr Jamal
Hello,

I need your help.  I have a data comparing between two diagnostic tests for
Osteoporosis.  The gold standard test is axial bone mineral density (BMD)
using dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) T score (Quantitative value
which can be changed to qualitative), the other one is the new quantitative
ultrasound (QUS) T score (Quantitative).

I am using SPSS Statistics 17.

How can calculate the sensitivity and specificity for the new test using a
specific cut-off value? And how can I create a ROC curve for different
cut-off values?

I was told that SPSS cannot do that, and I have to use other software such
as MedCalc.  Is that right?

Thank you for help and support.
