You must stay for a while longer! You need more practice on your calculating
odds ratios with SPSS 15.

Pardon my skepticism, but - Max, is this real? You have listowner
privileges on SPSSX-L, and you're taking care of such things?

Just in case there could be any difficulty with these requests, here
are the standard instructions for getting off:

Send a message to [hidden email] with the following words in
the body of the message: SIGNOFF SPSSX-L. Don't add anything else (your
name, a title for the message...).

(You have to send it, of course, from the address from which you're
subscribed to the list.)

It should work. If it doesn't, go the listserv web page and unsubscribe
there:

-Good wishes to all,

looking for the best way to analyze

Zdaniuk, Bozena-2
In reply to this post by Richard Ristow
Hello, everybody. I am trying to come up with the best way to analyze the following scenario:
I hypothesize that in treatment group variable A will explain more of the variance in the DV than variable B. But I expect the two predictors to have a similar explanatory contribution in control group.
So far I came up with the idea of step-wise regression run separately in each group where I enter var A first and then Var B to see that Var B does not significantly increase Rsqare in treatment group but that it does increase Rsq in control group.
I don't like this solution, though. Is there a way to test the same hypothesis in one analysis instead of separately in each group?
Thanks so much for any input.
Bozena
