Problem Connecting to Oracle Database Through SPSS Server

We have SPSS server version 18 on our Sun Solaris analytics platform.  Our data warehouse and all of our user schema are in an Oracle database, version 11g R1.  The database supports LDAP for access, which SPSS does not seem to support so connecting to the database is impossible.  That ‘feature’ makes the server installation of SPSS almost worthless.  Is there any way to trick an LDAP system into using an ODBC connection?
