I recently upgraded to SPSS 21 and our dept decided to go with
the "Faculty Pack." This was the first I'd heard of a faculty pack (as opposed to the grad pack which has been around quite a while) but it comes with a lot of features and seems fine. However, I can't find Python Essentials anywhere in the downloaded files and am therefore unable to run any extension commands etc. Has anyone used the faculty pack with Python? Is there somewhere I can download Python Essentials for SPSS 21 (it seems not as it supposed to be included in the software download/CD). Thanks, Dan ===================== To manage your subscription to SPSSX-L, send a message to [hidden email] (not to SPSSX-L), with no body text except the command. I am out of the office untill 11am 31st October. Please contact my colleagues Niall or Stephen if you need assistance. |

The Python Essentials for V21 are included
on the media and available as a download from the product area. If
you didn't get this with the regular materials, please talk to your site
coordinator or equivalent.

The only 4 items included in the download are Sample Power 3.0,
Visualization Designer 1.0, Amos 21, and Statistics 21. Is Python Essentials embedded in one of these? Essentials is not an option from the webstore (on the hub) and I don't have a site coordinator to go to. We're a small dept and only purchased 3 licenses (technically 12-mo rental). Is there anywhere to download python essentials for V21? I know it's available for download for previous versions. We made things easier in V21 by putting
the Python Essentials with the main download instead of using the SPSS
Community site for this. :-( Please contact your sales rep to get
the rest of this. If this still doesn't work, let me know offline.
