Python IDE applications for Mac [slightly off-topic]

lucameyer
I am reading Programming an Data Management book and I learn that one could use a Python IDE software to run SPSS syntax.

My question is: any of you uses such a software on a Mac version? If so, what software are you using?

Thanks,
Luca

Re: Python IDE applications for Mac [slightly off-topic]

Hi,

Under Linux I often just use Idle. Other options include Eclipse (which I find too memory hungry) and Netbeans. Sciviews-R and Sciviews-K may also be interesting. I've been looking for an IDE that I can use for both Python and R, but I have yet to find a good one. Sciviews-K was buggy with the R plugin.

A good free editor is Komodo Edit. Komodo IDE is good but expensive.

Cheers!!
Albert-Jan

All right, but apart from the sanitation, the medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, a fresh water system, and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?
