The place to start is with the Programming and Data Management book, which you can download from here.
It shows how to use Python for typical SPSS tasks. Of course, you will also want the reference doc for the Python integration, but that is not a teaching doc. There are a great many Python books available, but the best choice would depend on your background.
Note that Statistics supports both Python 2 and 3. The language was redesigned and improved in Python 3, but if you learn Python 2, the transition is easy. Most of the SPSS Python materials use Python 2.
