It depends upon whether the covariate is time-invariant or time-varying.
What is it exactly that you are trying to do?

Subject: Question - continuous covariates in repeated measures
Hello
I am a new person to SPSS. I'm struggling a bit with trying to work out
how to centre the means for a continuous covariate in a repeated
measures design in SPSS.
I don't suppose anyone can help or refer elsewhere?
Many thanks!
Kathryne
